Sarwendah Gets Custody Of Children, Costs Of Needs And Education Borne Ruben Onsu

JAKARTA - The household of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah has finally been officially divorced by the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, September 24.

Sarwendah's attorney, Chris Sam Siwu, said that until now there has been no intention from his client to appeal the decision.

"Yes, not filing an appeal or verstek, yes, or resistance fromversetek. This was decided by verstek. It was decided without the presence of the defendant. Yes, we will not conduct verstek or resistance to this decision and we accept it," said Chris Sam Siwu in the Pasar Minggu area, South Jakarta, Tuesday, September 24.

Furthermore, Chris Sam Siwu emphasized that based on the agreement between his clients and Ruben, child custody falls to the mother.

"Then also related to parenting, it was also agreed by the parties that the child was indeed being cared for by our client Sarwendah. That is the case," he explained.

Even so, Ruben is still required to bear all the costs paid to his three children, such as the cost of daily needs to school.

"Regarding this, we need to clarify here that it is based on an agreement made outside the court, Ruben only bears the costs related to his children," he explained.

"Besides that, Sarwendah still bears it herself. So it is related to school fees, then nurses related to children and everything. But apart from that everything is borne by our clients," he said.
