The Shadow Strays Premieres At Toronto International Film Festival

JAKARTA - The Shadow Strays' latest action film by director Timo Tjahjanto premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Sunday (15/9) night and managed to get a warm welcome from the audience who came.

"The atmosphere in the room is extraordinary, with 'The Shadow Strays', I want to push for the boundaries of the match cinema, create something thrilling and emotional," Timo said, quoted from an official statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Monday.

"Seeing the audience's response at TIFF Midnight Madness is an unforgettable experience," he continued.

Midnight Madness is the wildest program at the Toronto International Film Festival. The program usually features the best films from the action genre, horror, thriller to fantasy, one of which is the film by the nation's children "The Shadow Strays".

"The Shadow Strays" is an action-thriller film full of adrenaline and dares to break genre boundaries. Starring Aurora Ribero and Hana Malasan and experienced ensemble players, this film is ready to provide a thrilling cinematic experience for viewers.

"The Shadow Strays" is proof of Timo Tjahjanto's expertise in combining large-scale action with intimate moments that focus on character.

The film follows a young killer's story called 13 which is in a friendship with a small child, and must be rescued when he is missing because he was kidnapped by a criminal syndicate. Will the mission be successful?

On the other hand, critics began to give praise to the intensity of the action scene for the film "The Shadow Strays" and the emotional depth displayed by the players. The film is considered a film that can display a series of action scenes carefully, as well as show a physical side that is rarely seen in modern action films.
