Tora Sudiro Was Touched To Celebrate 4.2 Million Kang Mak From Pee Mak Film Spectators With Deaf Friends

JAKARTA - Tora Sudiro and TJ Ruth celebrated the 4.2 million viewers of Kang Mak from Pee Mak together with the Teman Tuli community at Pejaten Park, on Saturday, 7 September. They were both touched by the audience's response.

‘All films are meaningful to me, even children are happy to watch it. Especially when deaf friends come to watch it, I'm really happy. I actually wanted to learn sign language, but I'm not very good at it,’ said Tora.

Tora Sudiro is also grateful for the record achievement in 22 days of screening in the cinema. According to him, the quality of his film deserves a warm welcome from the audience.

‘Yes, Alhamdulillah, I didn't know it could be like that. It's just a coincidence that the material is good, we just play it often,’ he said.

Tora did not expect the number of viewers to reach 4 million. Moreover, the film by director Herwin Novianto is still very much in demand today.

‘I don't think it should be targeted. But I think, I've heard 2 million or 3 million (viewers). That's already okay,’ said Tora Sudiro.

 TJ Ruth is also grateful that Kang Mak's film can be accepted by the public. Although her role in this film is fairly small compared to the other players.

‘I'm happy, praise God, even though in one film I only get one scene or two scenes, yes, it's still his film. Even though I only have a few scenes, I still feel proud,’ explained TJ Ruth.
