JAKARTA - The COVID-19 pandemic has hit the film and cinema business. Many films have chosen to postpone their screenings in theaters because of the many restrictions they have put in place to stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. However, fresh air was exhaled by the horror film Don't Be Alone.

After President Jokowi gave a positive response to revive the national film industry, which was suspended due to the Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic, starting April 1, 2021, simultaneously throughout Indonesia, cinemas will restart their activities.

In response to this policy, the film Jangan Sendirian is ready to fill the cinema screen for the first time after many films have been delayed. The Executive Producer of the Film Don't Be Alone, Aji Fauzi, said that the film Don't be Alone will air on April 1. Simultaneously the Indonesian cinema activities were reopened.

This film will spoil the audience with the sensation of adventure with the romance of gloomy, horror, and fear without being limited by the dramatic as similar films that already exist.

"The plan will be played in theaters starting April 1, 2021, simultaneously in cinemas throughout Indonesia including Maluku and Papua as well as in several Asean countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia," said Aji in a release received by VOI.

The idea for this film is based on something that is very close to the everyday experiences of each person. So many people are afraid of being alone, afraid of the dark, or feel terrorized by their own fear for no reason. Starting from here, the title of the film “Don't be Alone” is believed to be easier to stick in the minds of the public or our prospective audience.

Unlike the horror genre in general, Do not be Alone minimizes the elements of drama and dialogue from the players, it is certain that it will be filled with fresh horror actions and the plot is not easy to predict. Of course, with this very interesting concept, it is hoped that this film will be able to provide classy entertainment for the audience.

"The significant difference between the film Jangan Sendirian and other horror films is that the spreaders of creepyness, fear, and hysteria are not classic ghosts, but Satan with various modern-imaginary characters," concluded Aji.
