Twisters Film Synopsis: Big Topan Wind Sequel With New Character

JAKARTA - Three decades after the film Twister, a sequel to the franchise is present for the audience in the current generation entitled Twisters. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung and written by Mark L. Smith, this film presents a story of the tornado phenomenon from his previous story with a new storyline.

The film trailer was first released at the 2024 Super Bowl and is projected to air this month. The Twisters project was announced in 2020 and compared several producers and directors to meet Lee Isaac Chung who became a concern thanks to the 2020 film Minari.

Twisters set in Oklahoma, to be precise at Tornado Alley, Tyler Owens (Glen Powell) is a social media celebrity known as 'Tornado Wrangler' met Kate (Daisy Edgar-Jones).

Kate is a storm catcher who lived a life carefully after facing a storm of traumatizing hurricanes.

One day, Kate was asked by Javi (Anthony Ramos) to return to the field to face hurricanes with new technology and meet with Tyler Owens.

As the storm season approaches, Tyler, Kate, and their team find themselves struggling to survive as the system gathers in the city of Oklahoma.

"The intimate and small film is also where I want to do it. But (the film) that can be watched many times is an important word. This is a place where I think actors who want to seriously take it wrong," Glen Powell quoted the New York Times as saying.

"I think this film has a lot of heart and this is the reason why I started in this business to share stories that are commercial, critical, or for independent and populist audiences," said Glen Powell.

In addition to the three, Twisters are played by Maura Tierney, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, divided McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, and many others.

The film Twisters will hit Indonesian cinemas starting July 10.
