Achieved IDR 16.35 Trillion, Inside Out 2 Prints Record To Be The Best-selling Film This Year!

JAKARTA - Not finished in 2024, the film Inside Out 2 shows its charm as the best-selling animated film. Not only animation, this Disney and Pixar-made film officially became the best-selling film of the year.

Inside Out 2 earned 1 billion US dollars or equivalent to Rp. 16.35 trillion in theaters in 19 days. This film became the fastest animated title to achieve that much.

It didn't stop there, it was also the first film with $1 billion after Greta Gerwig's Barbie film, which aired in 2023.

Since its premiere on June 14, Inside Out 2 has shifted Dune: Part 2 as the film with the highest gains in the first week. After that, the film consistently ranked the top for three weeks.

In the same week, Inside Out 2 also overtook the achievement of its first film of 859 million US dollars for views worldwide.

Of course, this is a new achievement for Disney Pixar, which in recent years has sent many of their films streaming. Turning Red, Luca, and Soul aired on Disney+ for release during the pandemic while Lightyear and Elemental have not yet received the results of the factual Inside Out.

Inside Out 2 continues the story almost 10 years after its first film. Several main characters such as Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith) and Anger (Lewis Black).
