Breaking Up After 6 Years, Joe Alwyn Finally Talks About Relationship With Taylor Swift

JAKARTA - Actor Joe Alwyn opened his voice about his relationship with singer Taylor Swift. The two ended their relationship after six years in April 2023.

During dating until breaking up, Joe Alwyn rarely talked about Taylor Swift to the public. He is also rumored to be a source of inspiration from several songs released by Swift due to public-made compatibility.

"I hope everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties of ending a long relationship, loving each other, full of commitment for six and a half years," Joe Alwyn quoted The Sunday Times as saying.

"That's a difficult thing to navigate," he continued.

Reportedly, their relationship ended with Taylor Swift starting the Eras tour. They are said to have broken up due to different characters.

Kinds of Kindness stars admitted that they were confused because they decided to break up privately but a week later, the news that they were starting to circulate in public.

"It's unusual and strange from this situation, one week later, everything is in the public and the outside side can consider it. So you guys have something that suddenly throws into the big room: tabloids, social media, press, which is full of speculation," continued Joe Alwyn.

"And the truth, until the end, there will always be a distance between what is known and what is said. I have made peace with it," he said.

He also did not answer whether he was still communicating with Taylor Swift or listening to his latest album.

"I feel lucky to be in a position in my life, professional and personal," said Joe Alwyn.

"I'm sure you can appreciate the noise about my past relationship, why don't I want to open the door to something like that (dating) right now," he said.

While Joe Alwyn is single, Taylor Swift is currently dating athlete Travis Kelce.
