BLACKPINK's Rosé Makes A Record In Album Pre-Order

JAKARTA - Rosé BLACKPINK broke the record for female soloists with the largest total album pre-orders before debut.

Today, March 9, YG Entertainment's agency announced that Rosé's debut album, R, has been ordered for 400 thousand copies as of March 8. This achievement was achieved four days after the album order began.

400 thousand copies are the total order for albums from South Korea, China, Southeast Asia, Japan, the United States, and Europe.

Previously, the group BLACKPINK broke the record for the biggest pre-oders for their first album, THE ALBUM. Because of this, Rosé holds the record for both a soloist and a group member.

R is Rosé's debut album which contains two songs, namely On the Ground and Gone. Before making her debut, Rosé had performed the song Gone at the online concert THE SHOW last January.

The album will be released digitally on March 12th. While the physical version was released four days later. Congratulations to Rosé!
