JAKARTA The Queen of the Indonesian box office film, director Hadrah Daeng Ratu, has re-released her latest horror film, Ahead of Ajal, which will air starting April 30, 2024.

Raising the theme of pesugihan, this film is produced by Gope T. Samtani, and produced by Rapi Films in collaboration with Sky Media, Legacy Pictures, and Rhaya Flicks. The screenplay was written by Deni Saputra and stars a series of actors, including Shareefa Daanish, Caitlin Halderman, Daffa Wardhana, Shakeel Fauzi Aisy, Ruth Marini, and Michael Olindo.

Ahead of Ajal tells the story of a mother named Sekar (Shareefa Daanish), trying to support her three children alone by opening a food stall. Lately, he has been restless because his merchandise is always stale shortly after the food is served. Sekar went to meet Mak Ambar (Dewi Pakis), the shaman who installed a'selling' in his shop.

But it turns out, Mak Ambar has passed away. Since then, the genies who have been helping him demand life until Sekar is possessed every night. The three children, namely Dani (Daffa Wardhana), Ratna (Caitlin Halderman), and Dodi (Shakeel Fauzi Aisy), tried to treat them, but the effort threatened their lives as a family.

The film Ahead of Ajal is Hadrah Daeng Ratu's second horror film with Rapi Films. This film is inspired by people we know, and indeed many use sellers for restaurants to sell.
