The Reason Why Daniel Mananta Chooses To Forgive And Pray For The Perpetrators Of Pickpocketing His Wife's Bags Instead Of Reporting To The Police

Presenter Daniel Mananta recounted the moment when his wife, Viola, became a victim of pickpocketing that occurred when he and his family were having lunch at a mall in Jakarta.

However, despite losing almost all of his valuables, Daniel tried to take lessons from this incident as an emotional workout for his family.

"So the Viola incident was stolen, so I remember this was an emotional workout for me. Even though it was hard, I tried to face it all calmly. I have to protect my heart as husband and father, my job is also to protect my family's heart as much as possible," said Daniel Mananta, quoted by VOI from TikTok VJ Daniel, Thursday, April 18.

Uniquely, instead of immediately reporting this incident to the authorities, Daniel and Viola decided to go home and invite their children to pray for the pickpocket.

"Arriving home, I invited Viola and also the children for us together to pray for the pickpocket. Hopefully he will repent, hopefully he will give him a better job so he doesn't have to steal anymore. I, we all forgive him and don't let there be hatred in our hearts," continued Daniel.

Unexpectedly, this actually made Daniel and his family calmer and thought of becoming more relieved even though they had to lose some of his wife's valuable objects.

"And we give him a blessing. That's it. The next day I went to the office with a feeling of relief, I didn't think much about it anymore, I also slept well, lived happily as I should," he added.

In the video, Daniel, who showed CCTV at the time of the incident, said firmly that he had forgiven the perpetrator and had no intention of reporting it to the authorities.

"This is a pickpocket video that we have forgiven. There is no need to report it, just relax, we have forgiven him," he concluded.
