JAKARTA - 90s-era artist, Anya Dwinov, has not been seen on the small screen for a long time in the Indonesian acting world. Previously, the name Anya Dwinov became known to the wider public when she played in one of the soap operas Jinny oh Jinny directed by Cuk FK which premiered in 1997 and ended in 2002.

After a long time, Anya now admits that she is currently more active in the world of presenting, which according to her has a different responsibility from other professions in the entertainment world, where she has to convey a message to the audience. This was conveyed by Anya Dwinov in an exclusive interview with VOI some time ago.

“And from the beginning of the soap opera journey, in the middle of the road I had to deviate, onto a parallel road, namely the presenter and the soap opera. And it turns out that this presenter opened up my interest in the entertainment world, why? Because being a presenter has the responsibility to convey a message, to our audience, to our audience and it turns out that the world of presenting is even more branched," said Anya Dwinov at the VOI office, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, recently.

“And from the existing branches, MC on stage, TV presenter, I enjoy being a moderator. Why? Because my character is someone whose curiosity is quite high, and as a moderator, we have an obligation or duty not only to control the course of an event but also we have to be able to extract various information from our sources and that is very interesting," she continued.

Feeling comfortable in the world of presenting, made Anya finally experience an experience she had never had before. Where she was once asked to host a sporting event that she didn't like, but because of the demands of her job, Anya finally forced herself to carry out her duties as well as possible.

“It got to the stage where I could experience presenting for the world of sport, where it wasn't something I was interested in. I'm more interested in automotive than sports. In the past, there were several football competitions which turned out to be at quite a high level. At that time, Mr. Karni Ilyas was interested in me," explained Anya Dwinov.

It didn't stop there, Anya Dwinov also shared her experience when working at the private television station TVRI, where at that time she was challenged to work under pressure which of course she had never experienced at all in her previous job.

"My experience with several talk shows on TVRI is that when you come, you get a kind of rundown, where talk shows are often without advertising, so if the duration is 30 minutes, then 30 minutes, that's how we have to talk to our source, where the name of the source could change or be different from what was written in the script because at that time the target person might be called by the president so he would send another deputy," said Anya Dwinov.

"I had to discuss taking it to my producer, 'OK, the commission and the ministry are not connected, so how should we complete it? I see there is this angle that we can fill in, okay, shall we pull it here? Will there be any rules that we will break or not? So, what I carry with me is blank paper and a pen, and when the resource person is talking, we will explore there again and that's without ads," she continued.

Having had so much experience to date, Anya Dwinov admits that the road has not always been smooth. At the start of her career, this 41-year-old woman experienced rejection from working in the entertainment world by her father because he felt that this world had a dark side which he was afraid could affect his daughter's life.

“Fifty-fifty, Mom supports it, Dad doesn't. Because my father happens to work in a field that sees being an artist as a profession that has bad side jobs. Even though it's only selective, yes, many professions have negative sides, but that just happened to be enough to make my father look at the profession as a whole, so my father didn't approve at all at that time," explained Anya Dwinov.

Gratitude is the main key to success

Having been involved in the entertainment world for almost 20 years, Anya is starting to realize that she is one of the lucky people. She feels that she is always allowed to do new things, which she does because her desire to learn new things is very high.

"So, one of the things I'm grateful for right now is that every time I'm allowed to try something new and I'm learning by doing and getting paid, there are people who say, 'I'm willing to not get paid as long as I experience that experience', I'm lucky, because I have new experiences, try new things, while getting paid," said Anya.

This ultimately made Anya Dwinov more grateful for her way of life. According to her, every decision in life that she took from the beginning of her career until now ultimately made her discover the identity or character of Anya Dwinov, who is known to the wider community today.

"So in conclusion, the results I feel, my current character, and my decision-making are thanks to my extraordinary life journey and I appreciate that because I feel I love my character. My character now, I love and I think this is the right one for me. People say that character has been awakened, it has been born from you, but that's not true, because following the current tests, it turns out that I am 97 percent introverted, but I can communicate well, because my life journey took me in that direction," she added.

"Besides being able to flashback about how my life has changed, I have the opportunity to talk, see, and experience other people's lives so that I know and realize that my life is full of blessings. The blessing is extraordinary, God gave me many advantages compared to many other people, so I said yes, I am grateful because I am one of those people who have the opportunity to see," said Anya Dwinov.

Not only that, the desire to learn and continue to adapt to every change in the entertainment world is also one of the ways Anya Dwinov can continue to maintain her existence.

"Only based on my experience, I'm willing to try everything, from comedy, lenong to politics, seriousness, talk shows with ministers, talk shows with bureaucrats which are indeed different challenges, I am willing and there is a sense of satisfaction at the moment. I finished working and wow, I can try this new thing," said Anya.

"The goal is not always money, you know, that's what must be underlined, many people say, 'Oh, I don't have money, I'm lazy', but I want to learn the value, the lesson, the experience," she added.

Now Anya has her vision for her life, she explains that currently she is 'touching' other people's lives. She wants to try to invite other people to see the world from a different perspective so that they are not confined to just one thing and that people can feel what they feel in their life journey.

“There are still so many, I want to touch people's lives. In the past, people felt, eh, I'm grateful because many people said I touched them, thank you even though I didn't have any intention of it, I'm one of those people, there's one of my friends, she said it until today, coincidentally just a week ago I kept talking until I was 'really?' I was still in that stage, you know, only he told me there was something I did that I didn't even remember, he said, 'You don't know how much that changed my life and saved my life? I was like 'really?'," said Anya Dwinov closing the conversation with VOI.
