BLACKPINK's Solo Career Plan After Leaving YG Entertainment

JAKARTA - BLACKPINK personnel, Jennie plans to release her first full solo album. The decision was unanimous after leaving YG Entertainment for her individual career because she wanted to be free to work as a soloist. When he was a guest star on Lee Hyori's Red Carpet, Jennie revealed her reasons for leaving YG Entertainment. "I want to do group activities with the company where I worked for 7 years, but I want to have more freedom and comfort for my individual activities," said Jennie BLACKPINK as quoted by Koreaboo, on Thursday, January 4. Jennie also decided to build her own company. He will develop the company with staff who have worked with him for a long time. "So I carefully set up a company called ODD ATELIER. I did it with the staff I've been with for a long time," he said. Then, Jennie admitted that she had planned to release her first full solo album in 2024. She hopes to launch a good musical work into the world. "My dream is to release my first full solo album into the world this year. I hope to be Jennie who can return with good music this year," he explained. Not only that, but Jennie also talked about the company's plans that she will establish in the future. He admitted that he had no intention of recruiting other artists to join, and chose to focus on himself for now.

"Actually I never dreamed of anything like that (recruiting other artists), but it's nice to imagine something like that when I started a company. But I think it would be nice if I took care of myself well and good things will happen in the future," concluded Jennie BLACKPINK. As is known, BLACKPINK members did decide to continue their group contracts with YG Entertainment. However, the four members decided not to continue their individual contracts and chose different paths for their respective solo careers.
