Jackson Wang Was Banned From Promotion In South Korea

JAKARTA - Jackson Wang said he was banned from promoting his solo release in South Korea.

While appearing as a guest on DIVE Studios's Get Real, Jackson shared the process of creating the Team Wang label where he released his solo material. He himself has released various hits such as Fendiman and 100 Ways.

However, Jackson revealed that he was banned from promoting his music in South Korea while still under the umbrella of JYP Entertainment.

"I was working solo there (Team Wang). I can work anywhere but Korea, that's the agreement. So you know, when the contract ended, I tried to bring everything back. My music, the endorsement - everything I did for four years, "Jackson said on Thursday, February 18th.

Without mentioning a reason, Jackson has now found a place to distribute his music in South Korea, namely through the Sublime Artist Agency. It is known, Jackson is an agency with Youngjae, his partner at GOT7.

Jackson, who has Hong Kong blood, continues to strive to spread his music freely. At the same event, Jackson was working on an album in English and Mandarin.

He also emphasized that GOT7 is not disbanding and will be releasing music in the future. But for now, each member of the group is focusing on their solo careers.

Yugyeom, Youngjae, and JB are preparing a solo album, while Mark Tuan returns to the United States and releases the song One In A Million. Jinyoung is in talks to star in the Korean drama Devil Judge.
