JAKARTA - The film Parasite will air tonight, Saturday, February 13 on Trans7. TV viewers might be eagerly awaiting movie screenings, because Parasite is still a new film because it was shown in theaters in 2019. In addition, the film directed by Bong Joon Ho won the Best Picture at the Oscar event held in 2020.

Parasite presents social class problems between rich and poor people in South Korea. Conflict arises when they are greedy for each other to take advantage.

At the beginning of the film, Parasite shows a poor family in a slum house and it is difficult to find work. The boy from a poor family named Ki Woo then gets the opportunity to teach the son of the rich.

Ki Woo didn't want to waste the opportunity just like that and invited one by one his family members to work in this luxury house. Things heat up when Ki Woo's family faces other people who are also taking advantage of the house.

This film shows its class from the first minute of its broadcast. The production design from setting, wadrobe, dialogue, to the acting of the players Song Kang Ho, Park So Dam, Choi Woo Sik to Jo Yeo Jeong feels right and strengthens each other.

The plot of drama, comedy, and thriller is shown in turn in this film so that the audience does not feel bored. Through the film Parasite, Bong Joon Ho tries to criticize capitalism in South Korea which causes high unemployment and difficulty finding a place to live.

This film also received Palme d'Or appreciation from the Cannes Film Festival in May 2020. After that, Parasite won awards at a number of award events such as the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild Award, British Academy Film Awards, and others.
