JAKARTA - Success with the film Di Ambang Kematian, MVP Pictures is preparing for another horror which will air in 2024 entitled Sengkolo - Body Driver. The production process for this horror film will begin this November.

Sangkolo - Body codeman will tell the story of a man who feels devastated and lost faith after suffering the tragedy of losing his wife and children on the same night.

"MVP Pictures is always committed to presenting stories that are not only entertaining, but can also generate feelings and experiences that can be well connected to the public. I hope this film can be well received by Indonesian film lovers," said Raam Punjabi, as Producer to the media, Thursday, November 2.

The film Sengkolo Pemandi Body was worked on by the production team, Ody Mulya Hidayat and Soemijato Muin. Meanwhile, the director's seat will be occupied by Hanny Saputra, with the script written by Rebecca M. Bath.

In Java's local wisdom, Sengkolo is a negative entity that often haunts humans, brings misfortune, and presents disaster. On the same night, Sengkolo is said to be moving to target several wetons that are his prey.

"The stories of Javanese culture are so rich and interesting, one of which is the story of Sengkolo. We are very enthusiastic about bringing this story to fans of Indonesian horror films," said Ody Mulya Hidayat.

"Sengkolo - Body Drivers are inspired by various concrete events, which make it a great potential to become a horror film that will be interesting to watch in theaters," added Soemijato Muin.

Director Hanny Saputra, revealed that the Sangkolo - Body Driver does not just offer horror tensions. "There is a romantic side and a touching human side in a horror film that is not only tense to watch," said Hani.

Sangkolo - Body Drivers will be played by a number of talented actors, including Donny Alamsyah, Fauzan Nasrul, Nesia Weroza Puspa, and Kenya Nindia.
