Acha Septriasa Is Proud That Layla Majnun The Movie Is Broadcasted On Netflix Worldwide

JAKARTA - The movie Layla Majnun is ready to air on Netflix, February 11. As a cast, Acha Septriasa admits that she is proud and enthusiastic when she finds out that her movie will air on Netflix Worldwide. For Acha who lives in Australia, this opportunity makes it easier for her to see the results of her acting with Reza Rahadian.

"Initially I was worried that I could not participate in the premiere of this film. Because Layla Majnun is one of the big movies I am waiting for," said Acha during a virtual chat with VOI some time ago.

Layla Majnun tells the story of Layla (Acha Septriasa), an independent and highly educated religious woman who falls in love with Samir (Reza Rahadian), a smart and romantic man from Azerbaijan.

However, Layla is caught in an arranged marriage with a man named Ibnu (Baim Wong). Layla also has to choose to marry a loved one or with Samir. Layla Majnun film was shot in Jakarta and Azerbaijan.

"How do two people Layla and Majnun who like poetry, who like literature and they fall in love with each other with different backgrounds. One is from remote parts of Jogja. One is from Azerbaijan. The Muslim country in Russia is very beautiful," said Acha.

This movie was developed from the poetry work of Nizami Ganjavi. This Layla Majnun was created longer than Romeo and Juliet. "When I was offered this film, I really have never read Layla Majnun. I know but haven't read it. With Alim Sudio the story is packaged by uniting Indonesia and Azerbaijan. No matter how simple Alim's script is sure to touch the heart, I'm sure of that," she explained.

Interestingly, because it was based on an Azerbaijani writer and the filming was also done there, so many people from there commented on Youtube for the trailer for this film.

"Because they are proud that finally there is a Layla Majnun movie in the modern era. It is really nice to wait for this movie. Moreover, there are many famous users, I think there will be a lot of people watching," she said. Apart from Reza Rahadian, Acha Septriasa and Baim Wong, this film stars Uli Herdinansyah, Dian Nitami, Landung Simatupang, Beby Tsabina, August Melasz, and Natasha Rizki.

Acha said that the Layla Majnun film must be watched because this is a different love story from the metropolitan world which is now being presented in Indonesian film stories. "Her background is a girl from a small village in Jogja, met her prince in the city of Baku, Azerbaijan. Many events turn funny, become entertaining, romantic, unique and interesting because of the combination of the two cultures," she said.

"This is a story full of beautiful words. Watching it makes us appreciate literature more. To appreciate written works more. So it makes us who watch want to fight for our true love, which in my opinion if Monti Tiwa can't be impossible to hit our hearts. As simple as it is. It's a great movie for me because the story is big, full of conflicts, very happy, very sad, I have to prepare for fear of being too sentimental," Acha ordered.
