Stray Kids, BLACKPINK, And TXT Win MTV Video Music Awards 2023

JAKARTA - K-pop groups dominate the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Held today, Wednesday, September 13, a number of K-pop groups such as Stray Kids and TXT attended the award ceremony.

Stray Kids won Best K-pop for their song, S-Class, the main track of their third album titled (5-STAR). Stray Kids who were present in person also sang S-Class in front of the audience.

"I can't believe we won Best K-pop at VMA 2023. Thank you STAY for this award," Stray Kids said via social media.

In addition, TXT, which was also present to bring the PUSH Performance of The Year award thanks to their song, Sugar Rush Ride from a mini album entitled The Name Chapter: Temptation.

TXT also sang their collaboration song, Back for More with rapper Anitta for the first time. The song will be released on September 15 via digital streaming service.

Several other K-pop artists also received awards even though they did not attend the 2023 MTV VMA show. Jung Kook BTS won Song of the Summer for his solo debut song, Seven.

The BLACKPINK group also won the Group of the Year for the song Pink Venom. This song also received the Best Choreography award made by Kiel Tutin, Sienna Lalau, Lee Jung and Taryn Cheng.

BLACKPINK became the first group in 24 years to receive the title of Best Group at VMA. Previously, this award was won by the TLC girl group in 1999.

Stray Kids and TXT are present in the middle of their world tour throughout 2023. The two groups that come from the fourth generation of K-pop music prove that their careers continue to climb amid the competition of K-pop groups.

Likewise with Jung Kook and BLACKPINK who made achievements with stage tours. BLACKPINK is known to end the BORN PINK world tour in South Korea after almost a year of traveling to various parts of the world.
