Kim Seon Ho's Film Debut, The Childe Releases In Indonesia June 21

JAKARTA - Kim Seon Ho's first acting on the big screen will be coming soon. Park Hoon Jung's film The Childe revealed the release date today, Wednesday, June 7.

CBI Pictures as the distributor uploaded a presscon photo of The Childe along with the caption "Get Ready to go to Cinema" along with the date. The Childe will hit Indonesian cinemas starting June 21, 2023.

"Are you ready yet? I'm ready...... The CHILDE will air starting June 21, 2023," CBI Pictures tweeted via social media.

The Childe is a new title from Sad Tropics. This film is one of Kim Seon Ho's latest projects after a one-year hiatus due to the case that happened to him.

A 45-second teaser was released in mid-May showing Kim Seon Ho traveling to find someone. He will play Childe, someone who hunts down a young man who is threatened with his presence.

This short video is also filled with a chase between Childe and Marco (Kang Tae Joo) who left a number of questions for the audience.

The Childe tells the story of Childe who is on a separate mission to find Marco, a boxer from one illegal arena to another in the Philippines. Marco has difficulty making a living so he does anything for money.

This film is Park Hoon Jung's new work directing New World, The Witch, and Night in Paradise. This film is in the spotlight after this project is offered to Kim Seon Ho who will play a different character from the previous role.

This project is highly anticipated by fans considering that the production process began in 2021. In addition, this film was released in the midst of Kim Seon Ho's busy tour of fan meeting to various countries including Indonesia last week.

The trailer was also released on the sidelines of Kim Seon Ho's fan meeting in Jakarta. Reportedly, the broadcast date of The Childe will coincide with the broadcast in South Korea.
