JAKARTA - Child and family psychologist Samanta Elsener, M.Psi said the first thing that children woke up in the first 1,000 days of their lives was trust and this was obtained from a moment of bonding with their parents.

"With this moment of bonding, he can build trust, he knows the world is safe, I'm fine. When I was hungry, crying, my mother came," said Samanta, as reported by ANTARA.

Bonding according to WebMD refers to the particular entanglement formed between mother and father and their new baby. That bond is what makes parents rush to their baby's room in the middle of the night even though they only hear a little opaque. This is what also makes parents want to verbally care for and raise their children.

Research found that about 20 percent of new mothers and fathers did not feel any real emotional attachment to their babies hours after giving birth. Sometimes, it takes weeks or even months to feel that entanglement.

This bonding moment can be created, for example when bathing the child, changing his clothes, while eating and giving him milk. Not only that, holding the child, is also part of the bonding moment because it involves touch of the skin on the skin.

"When we wash the child, it's a special moment for the child and there's a lot we can give to establish a bonding moment when bathing the child, changing clothes, while eating, drinking milk," said Samantha.

According to him, the more often parents give small touch to their children, the better quality will be to maintain the moment of bonding with their children.

"Mandi is given stimulation to the child's senses, such as giving colorful toys, being invited to sing, inviting him to tell the story. Taking a bath is not only five minutes finished. But enjoyed," he said.

Then, after bathing the child, give him a simple massage to make him relax. Samantha reminds when massaging, it is important for parents to be able to play.

"Skin to skin uses hands with a simple movement. The important thing is when we do it as mothers really enjoy, talk to their children, connect the signal of love is connected," Samantha suggested.
