JAKARTA - Ferry Irawan's divorce lawsuit against Venna Melinda was again held at the South Jakarta Religious Court (PA) today, Thursday, March 2, 2023. Both parties underwent trial represented by their respective attorneys.

After the trial, one of Ferry Irawan's legal team, Marselinus Abi, explained that a lawsuit had been withdrawn from Venna Melinda which was registered after Ferry's lawsuit.

"According to the recommendation of the panel of judges, what was done today was to do what was called the revocation (case), because there were two cases in common," said Marselinus Abi to the media crew after the trial.

He explained that the panel of judges had made a recommendation which was then followed by Venna Melinda's side who withdrew her lawsuit.

"So we will do what is called a melt or one must be revoked, because this is the same case, a common object, and the same person. And this is both cheerful," he continued.

The revocation of the lawsuit has also been confirmed by one of Venna Melinda's attorneys who came to trial, Noor Akhmad Riyadi.

"Last week the panel of judges instructed (revocational of the lawsuit) because there were two identical lawsuits, and both wanted divorce. So we consider, whether we withdraw," said Venna Melinda's attorney.

Thus, the divorce trial between Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda in the future will be based on Ferry Irawan's divorce suit which is registered with number 595/Pdt.G/2023/PA.JS.
