Minnie (G) I-DLE Gandeng Anne Marie For The First Solo Song

JAKARTA - Five years after his debut, Minnie (G)I-DLE will showcase her skills through solo releases. CUBE Entertainment as the agency announced Minnie's solo song in collaboration with British singer Anne Marie.

Today, Thursday, February 23, social media (G)I-DLE uploaded an artwork with a picture of a cat and some writing that shaped like a scriptbook. Their collaboration will be combined through a song called Expectations.

Last week, Minnie reportedly released a solo song and has recorded the music video. But at that time neither Anne Marie nor (G) I-DLE responded to the news.

Previously, Anne Marie had been involved in song production and collaboration with Korean artists. In 2021, she wrote the song Lover Like Me for CL's new album, ALPHA.

Then in 2022, Anne Marie fills in the latest version of SEVENTEEN's song, _WORLD_ which is released via the group's repackaged album. While the collaboration with Minnie marks its first original duet.

Likewise with Minnie who released solo songs for the first time since debuting with (G)I-DLE in 2018.

Minnie herself once filled the soundtrack of dramas such as My Dangerous Wife, Link: Eat, Love, Kill, and It Was All a Mistake. In addition, his voice is also believed to fill the collaboration of foreign artists such as Wengie, Heize, and F. Hero.

As for Minnie and Anne Marie's newest songs, Expectations will be digitally released on March 9, 2023.
