Successful Eye Operation, Indra Bekti Still Must Be Operated Next Sunday

JAKARTA - Indra Bekti successfully underwent surgery at the Army Central Hospital (RSPAD) on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Starting at 7.40 WIB, the operation lasted for two hours. The 45-year-old presenter has regained consciousness after undergoing surgery and returned to the inpatient room to rest.

As previously known, Bekti's operation today aims to remove the liquid deposited in the presenter's eye ball which caused his vision to be disrupted.

Indra Bekti's younger brother, Cipta, explained that the operation this time was only to remove liquid in one of the glasses. "The operation is for the left eye first and will be seen in the next two days. A week later, it will be the right eye," said Cipta when contacted on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

Cipta ensures that her brother's condition is currently fine, and will return home in the next two days. During the two days in the hospitalization room at RSPAD, Bekti will still be monitored by the team of doctors who handle it.

"God willing, the day after tomorrow you can return home," he said.

Regarding Indra Bekti's presence at the British boy band concert, Blue in Jakarta on February 14, 2023, Cipta said that he was still waiting for the development of his brother's condition and also permission from the RSPAD team of doctors.

"For the Blue concert, we will see the health development of Bang Indra. If indeed a healthy chapter and a doctor still allow it, God willing, they will be present to host the opening," he said.

Previously, Cipta had also explained that Indra Bekti's involvement in the Blue concert was not a must. He considered the invitation to his brother as a form of appreciation from the organizers who happened to be good friends with Bekti, and not a job that demands professionalism.

"We have had an agreement from the start that whatever it is, we will see from Bang Indra's health. If he doesn't or does there are obstacles, yes, I'm sorry we can't continue. And the organizers understand that," he concluded.
