JAKARTA - Progressive rock legend YES is selling rights to their recorded music catalog under Atlantic Records to Warner Music Group (WMG).

The catalog includes YES's first 12 studio albums as well as various live recordings and compilation albums.

Reported by Variety, the deal consists of a total of 29 albums. It includes all their studio albums from their 1969 self-titled debut to the 1987 Big Generator, as well as live albums such as Yesterdays (1975) and Yesstory (1992), as well as several compilations such as Highlights: The Very Best of Yes (1993), and Yes Remixes (2003).

YES's whole family gathered and worked enthusiastically with Warner Music Group to secure this historic deal," YES said in a statement.

"(We) ensure that these iconic recordings will continue to be optimally curated to please our fans around the world for more than five decades, as well as discover and develop new audiences for this eternal music," they continued, quoted by NME, Monday.

The excitement was echoed by WMG's global catalog president, Kevin Gore, who said: "My introduction to YES came while working at a cassette shop in Ohio in 1983. I have been a fan of him since then and we are truly happy and very honored that the strong relationship between YES and Warner Music will continue forever."

WMG's acquisition of the Atlantic YES catalog follows a similar agreement with asset rights owner David Bowie and 300 Entertainment (home labels for names like Young Thug, Megan Thee Stallion, and Waterparks).
