Sweet Laris, Pathaan Film Starring Shah Rukh Khan Tembus Blockbuster In Two Days

JAKARTA - The film Pathaan, starring famous Indian actor Shah Rukh Khan, immediately received a blockbuster title just two days after the release. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the film broke the opening day record for an Hindi-language film, with an international gross income of 12.7 million US dollars on January 25, 2023.

The following day, January 26, during a public holiday in India for Republican Day, Pathaan even earned 829 million Indian rupees or 10.1 million US dollars in India, with 307 million rupees equivalent to 3.7 million US dollars internationally. The film's two-day gross revenue 2.196 billion rupees (26.9 million US dollars).

The film, which is part of Aditya Chopra's spy universe, also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and is directed by Siddharth Anand. Other films in this universe include the "Tiger" franchise starring Salman Khan, and "War" starring Hrithik Rohan and Tiger Shroff, who is also directed by Anand.
