Setia In Star Trek, Nicolas Cage Not Interested In Joining In Star Wars

Actor Nicolas Cage admits that he has high loyalty to the Star Trek franchise. Therefore, he is not interested in joining the Star Wars franchise, both in films and in series.

For information, Pedro Pascal once said he wanted to recruit Cage to join in one of the Star Wars series, The Mandalorian. Pascal himself is Cage's opponent in the film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

When asked about this by Yahoo Entertainment, Cage rejected the idea of joining any Star Wars franchise. Cage noted that he grew up watching William Shatner play Captain Kirk and idolizing the original version of the Star Trek series (1966).

I'm a 'Trekkie'. I'm included in the Star Trek Enterprise. That's where I am," Cage said, quoted from Variety, Tuesday, January 10.

Then, Cage also praised Chris Pine's appearance for playing Captain Kirk's character in Star Trek in a more modern version. Cage says he likes the political and sociological messages contained in a work and asserts that science fiction is an important genre because creators have the opportunity to express anything.

"I am not a member of the 'Star Wars' family. I am a member of the 'Star Trek' family," Cage said as quoted by ANTARA.

Knowing that Cage has an interest in Star Trek, many fans hope the actor can join the Star Trek franchise. Whether Cage made it or not to join Star Trek, it still needs to be reviewed.

Although it is not necessarily a franchise, Cage himself will appear as a dracula in the action comedy Renfield which will be released theatrically on April 14.
