The Meaning Of Christmas For Ruth Sahanaya

JAKARTA - Singer Ruth Sahanaya interprets Christmas with gratitude and reflections on what has been passed and obtained for a year.

"It must always be a reflection to be like a flashback again, like seeing what we've been through and what we have to fix," Ruth said as quoted by Antara, Sunday.

"For this year, I think it is an extraordinary form of gratitude because we are still given health, we are still given life," he continued.

This year's Christmas, Ruth will celebrate with her extended family in Bandung. On the 24th of the evening, Ruth and her family will gather and pray together until Christmas arrives.

In addition, there is also an event to exchange gifts and use clothes with the same theme.

"Tuker gift, usually make an appointment to wear the same dresscode. Yesterday I just returned from Sydney, my youngest child graduated there. There were many t-shirts selling about Christmas. This time we also agreed to buy them for Christmas," he said.

For Christmas dishes, usually Ruth's extended family always serves a schotel macaroni and beef steak.

According to Ruth, the two menus have always been served from generation to generation in her family and her husband, Jeffry Waworuntu.

"My brother is good at cooking, so sometimes the food that used to be parents like to cook when Christmas likes to be presented too," said the singer of "You're Everything".
