Especially for the top pendopo section, the ceiling is covered with decorations of kumudawati paintings painted by Liem Tho Tien. Then, in the middle of the temple there is a dalem or the residence of the Mangkunegaran family. This place is used by the families of the deceased prince.

Not only used as a residence for Mangkunegaran families, but the temple complex has several areas for tourists to visit. One of them is a museum that has historical objects belonging to the Mangkunegaran Temple which has been collected since 1926.

There, visitors can surround the main building and learn historical information in each location. There is also a Rekso Pustoko library that stores collections of books, ancient scripts, photos, and archives, with a total collection of more than 6,000 titles.

Mangkunegaran Temple is located on Jalan Ronggowarsito, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City.
