Record, Dua Lipa Virtual Concert, Studio 2054 Reaches 5 Million Viewers

JAKARTA - Singer Dua Lipa has just held his first virtual concert of Studio 2054 on Friday, November 27. The concert set a new record for online concerts by drawing more than five million viewers.

Through his Twitter account, the Don't Start Now singer shares the good news with fans.

"I'm excited to tell you that Studio 2054 saw over 5 MILLION viewers globally on Friday night !!!" Lipa wrote on Monday, November 30 US time.

"Thanks to everyone who watched !!" he said closing the tweet with some photos from the concert.

Through his virtual concert, Dua Lipa performed songs from the Future Nostalgia album. Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Bad Bunny, and a number of other musicians were guests in this virtual concert.

Launching NME today, December 1, as the manager, Ben Mawson expressed his joy at this achievement. Mawson said the figure had been predicted by the Dua Lipa team and given the large number of viewers watching from other platforms, they estimated the original number of viewers to be nine million.

Reportedly, the five million figure does not include an audience in China of 1.9 million, 95,000 from India, and 263,264 tickets sold through online ticketing platforms.

"I'm very proud that Dua (Lipa) has once again shown herself to be the biggest pop star in the world."

Meanwhile, the Studio 2054 virtual concert is still available to play until Sunday, December 6 for £ 7.50.
