Latest Teaser For Animated Film Yuri On Ice: Ice Adolescence Released

JAKARTA - The latest teaser for the film Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence was released through the YouTube channel avex on Thursday, November 26.

This one-minute teaser shows the image of Victor Nikiforov in his youth as he prepares for his Olympic debut. At that time, he was 17 years old and showed his skating action. Before he started the action, the teaser closed with the words Yuri on Ice.

Long awaited, fans can finally see the development of Yuri on Ice's animation which is adapted into a film.

MAPPA Studio is still the production house for the animated film version. Reportedly, this film was made on the sidelines of the release of the series.

Initially, Yuri on Ice: Ice Adolescence was scheduled to air in 2019. But the studio did not explain why they had to delay it for up to a year.

Yuri on Ice tells the story of Yuri Katsuki, a skater who lost badly in the Grand Prix Final and other competitions. He started to take a break from his skating career and returned to his hometown.

When she got home, Yuri imitated the choreography of her Russian figure skater, Viktor Nikiforov. Yuri's action went viral on the internet and Viktor saw the video. Viktor also chose to retire from figure skating and become Yuri's coach so that he won a gold medal at the next Grand Prix.

Directed and written by Sayo Yamamoto, Yuri on Ice had 12 episodes that aired from October 2016 to December 2016.
