Bollywood Actor Asif Basra Dies

JAKARTA - The sad news came back from Bollywood. Thursday, November 12, actor Asif Basra was found dead at his private residence in McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Still undergoing the investigation process, the death of Asif Basra is suspected of having committed suicide.

Launching Hindustantimes today, November 13, Asif Basra is known to have lived in the house for five years.

Sachin Krishn, the director of Hostages, responded to the news of the death of one of the Hostages players. All this time Krishn saw Basra as a cheerful figure on the set.

Wanted to try contacting Asif Basra for the second season of filming Hostages but the actor never responded to Krishn's calls.

Starting his career in 1998 with the film Woh, Asif Basra starred in a number of films in India ranging from the film Jab We Met, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Ek Villain. In Hollywood, his name is known through the film Outsourced.

Until 2020, his latest work can be watched through the Big Brother film.

He began exploring the world of television series by becoming an executive in the series Paatal Lok from Amazon Prime, besides that he recently starred in the series Hostages from Disney + Hotstar.

The death of Arif Basra was met with grief by a number of Indian public figures such as Priyanka Chopra.
