The Character In The Korean Drama "Why Her" Makes Seo Hyun-jin Contemplate A Lot

JAKARTA - Seo Hyun-jin admitted to learning more from her character in the Korean drama "Why Her". This made him sad when this drama entered the last series.

In the drama "Why Her", Seo Hyun-jin plays a lawyer who works at a well-known law firm in Korea. The character named Oh Soo-jae is described as a talented and ambitious lawyer.

One day, Oh Soo-jae tackles a case that causes an unexpected turn, ruining his career. Later he took a teaching job at a local law school in an attempt to regain his position in a legal career.

However, Oh Soo-jae finds a different meaning in life after meeting a group of law students, including Gong Chan (played by Hwang In-youp), and teaming up to bring down the CEO of a corrupt law firm Choi Tae-guk (played by Heo Jun. -ho) and fighting for justice.

"I learned more about how to work on set and about me as a person through this series," Seo said in an interview through his agency, Management Soop, on Sunday or the day after the series ended, quoted by The Korea Times via Antara.

Seo added, "This particular work has a long production time and requires me to put energy into various aspects. It feels like time has passed so quickly so I'm a bit sad (it's over)," added Seo.

Debut drama “Why Her” kicked off with a 6 percent viewer rating on June 3 and ended with a peak rating of 10.7 percent on Saturday, July 23.

“I don't have the opportunity to go to places where I can really feel (the popularity of the series). But when people around me ask about the shooting location, I feel like a lot of people are watching it. So, I am grateful,” said Seo.

Seo's character, Soo-jae, has a nature that tends to be passionate because he wants to pursue success. But as the story progresses, he faces a series of events facing the CEO of a very powerful law firm, Tae-guk.

The actress revealed that working with veteran actors such as Heo Jun-ho and Kim Chang-wan, who played the dean of law school, was a rewarding experience.

"It's an honor to work with Heo and Kim. There's always something you can learn from them, like the way you understand acting," he said.

Regarding something she wants to achieve as an actress, Seo added: "Think less and talk a lot, but reflect a lot. Be flexible with ideas and always do it with intelligence. Now that I say it, it's really hard."
