JAKARTA - Brett Goldstein became a surprise when he appeared in the film Thor: Love and Thunder. Reportedly he did not tell his parents and relatives about his new role.
Recently, Brett Goldstein answered the reason why he kept his role a secret from the Marvel film. Even so, he was confused when he got an offer as Hercules.
"I didn't tell anyone because Marvel put a chip in my neck and said 'If you talk about this you're going to die,'" Brett Goldstein told Variety.
"My mum and dad, I texted them and said 'I just saw Thor' I knew this wasn't the type of movie they were going to see so I said they should watch it because it's funny," he explained.
The Ted Lasso star admitted that he was honestly not so sure about his joining in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
"To be honest I'm not lying or being humble - I don't know anything. I only know what I did that day. 3 seconds of fun,” recalls Brett Goldstein.
Previously, Taika Waititi said the idea for the emergence of Hercules came from Marvel boss Kevin Feige.
"I don't know anything. It was Kevin Feige's idea to put Hercules in a movie so he knows what he's doing," added Taika Waititi.
Brett Goldstein appears in the post-credits section of Thor: Love and Thunder. The scene shows Zeus (Russell Crowe) sending Hercules for revenge against Thor (Chris Hemsworth).
Then Hercules, played by Goldstein, appears and answers, "Yes, father," to Zeus.
It is not yet known whether Hercules will be Thor's next opponent. But the post-credits scene shows Brett Goldstein joining the MCU.
