ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo Gets An Offer For A Hollywood Movie About K-pop, A Deal With Rebel Wilson

JAKARTA - Cha Eun Woo's acting career is getting wider even to Hollywood. Reportedly he got an offer to play the K-Pop film: Lost in America!

Today, Friday, July 1, StarNews reported that Cha Eun Woo is projected to be the main character for the Hollywood film. He has even confirmed his schedule in the second half of 2022 for shooting.

Previously, two Hollywood actors - Rebel Wilson and Charles Melton - are said to have accepted the offer for this film.

K-Pop: Lost in America tells the story of a K-pop group trapped in Texas days before a tour at Madison Square Garden. Without a phone, money and transportation, they had to go through tough times in order to get to New York to debut.

This film will be directed by JK Youn who directed Haeundae and Ode to My Father. With a different genre of film, this time JK Youn will present a story about K-pop.

Cha Eun Woo's agency has not yet responded to this news. Meanwhile the actor is filming the drama Island. He was also confirmed to have visited several countries for fan meetings, one of which was Indonesia.

The plan, this film will begin production in the fall and will be released in 2023.
