Blondie Vocalist Debbie Harry Feels Entitled To Fulfill Her Bisexual Desires

JAKARTA - Debbie Harry talks about sexuality and her drive for masculinity in a new interview.

The Blondie vocalist confirmed in 2014 that he was queer, but three years later said that his bisexual days were over.

"I have great affection for some of my female friends, but I thought maybe when I was younger it might have been a little more hormonal and our hormones changed," she said in 2017.

Appearing on the Homo Sapiens podcast, Harry revisits the topic with hosts Chris Sweeney and Alan Cumming.

Sweeney asked if Debbie had ever "felt the need to satisfy" her bisexuality.

“I've always felt entitled,” says Debbie, “and I don't think that's a very feminine characteristic.

"Except in certain cases, at a certain level of society, many women feel entitled. But I always felt entitled to be the man I wanted to be. "

Debbie went on to say that being the frontwoman of an all-male band meant she "really had to use an aggressive nature that I probably wouldn't have in other situations."

"This is natural," continued the Blondie star. “I didn't know that it had anything to do with sexuality. Sexuality is almost vague in some ways… it's different for everyone. ”

She added: "For me it has to do with attractiveness and liking ... I've had all kinds of people, all different genders, and some of them have paid off, and others haven't."
