Jesse Choi is a South Korean born man who grew up in the United States. He chose to stay in Jakarta to marry Maudy.

Jesse Choi and Maudy met while studying at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. "He had a big heart for his country and to this day, regularly encourages me to be more global. We started dating, and after going through the turbulence of business school, COVID, and personal circumstances together, we feel inseparable.
