JAKARTA - The streaming service Apple TV+ released the first trailer for the Pachinko series, which was adapted from the book of the same name by Min Jin Lee.

The two-minute trailer showcases the conflicts four generations of Korean immigrant families have faced. The characters Sunja, played by Youn Yuh Jung and Kim Minha, go through a journey in the midst of war and loss.

Sunja, played by Kim Minha, also looked at Koh Hansu, played by Lee Min Ho. The forbidden love between them is also a part of Kogonada's Pachinka story.

The premiere trailer that was released to the public combines the tense yet touching side of the Sunja family's journey.

The Pachinko series will have three languages namely Korean, Japanese, and English. This is in accordance with his book which contains the journey of the immigrant family.

Besides Youn Yuh Jung and Lee Min Ho, Pachinko also stars Ara Soji, Jeong Inji, Minami Kaho, Noh Steve Sanghyun, Anna Sawai, Han Jun Woo, Jung Eun Chae, Jimmi Simpson and Jeon Yu Na.

Kogonada and Justin Chon directed eight episodes of which the newest episodes will be released every Friday to April 29.

Pachinko is the second original series from Korea that airs through Apple's streaming service. Previously, there was a Dr. Brain directed by Kim Jee Won and airing in November 2021. The Pachinko series will air exclusively on Apple TV+ starting March 25.
