JAKARTA - The spread of COVID-19 among South Korean public figures continues to increase. On Friday, February 11, three Running Man stars were diagnosed with the virus.

Kim Jong Kook was announced positive for COVID-19 the day before. Initially, he felt mild symptoms and decided to have a PCR test and the results were positive.

Later, Yang Se Chan also tested positive on the same day. Se Chan is said to have interacted with people who were positive and carried out a PCR test which came back negative.

"Then he self-quarantined and did a second PCR test which came back positive," said SM C&C's agency. However, Yang Se Chan was absent from filming Running Man due to quarantine, not positive.

Ji Suk Jin is the newest member of Running Man to test positive after a PCR test. He had a headache and opted for a test. Fortunately, Ji Suk Jin, Yang Se Chan, and Kim Jong Kook have all received full vaccinations.

On the other hand, Yoo Jae Suk, Haha, Jun So Min, and Song Ji Hyo also had a PCR test and the results were negative.

SBS stated that so far there has been no new filming schedule after the three Running Man stars tested positive.

"There is no change in the show's broadcast schedule. The quarantine period is currently seven days and there is no schedule during that time so no one will be affected," SBS said.

Apart from the three, a number of South Korean stars were also diagnosed positive, including Lee Ji Hoon, 2AM's Jo Kwon, Kim Joon Ho, and ENHYPEN's Sunoo.
