Fariz RM's Virtual Concert Will Be Enlivened By 4 Talented Young Musicians

JAKARTA - Fariz RM will hold a virtual concert on January 25, 2020 with the title Supermusic NEXTZone Live 360 Virtual Concert. This time, Ganga, Morad, Oslo Ibrahim, and Cantika Abigail will collaborate with the old singer.

The fifth edition of Supermusic NEXTZone Live 360 Virtual Concert is specifically working on the Groove Generation theme. This theme will combine the characteristics and elements of the collaborating musicians, namely Gangga, Morad, Oslo and Cantika with the creative pop music dimension that is typical of Fariz RM.

In this collaboration, apart from singing songs by young musicians, they will also perform a number of Fariz RM's hits such as "Sakura", "Step to the Seberang", to "Barcelona" with a completely new arrangement.

As the only female collaborator, Cantika Abigail welcomed her enthusiastically ahead of her performance later. He leaked that he would perform his songs entitled "Ace of Hearts" and "Nada Kasih" by Fariz RM.

"This collaboration is a very interesting thing because when I was told the line-up, I was quite surprised that the musicians could be this diverse. Besides that, by singing Om Fariz's song and vice versa, it is a value in itself that music can be enjoyed and reproduced with musicians regardless of their generation," said Cantika in her official broadcast, Friday.

Fariz himself said that Supermusic NEXTZone Live 360 Virtual Concert offered an interesting concept for him to be involved. In addition to challenging collaborations, the concept of musical arrangement to production presentations such as stage and lighting is believed to provide a new experience.

During the workshop and training process, Fariz admitted that there were many discussions and exchanges of creative ideas with the musicians and crew involved.

"The millennial musicians who collaborate with me will each have a different way of presenting music. So it's interesting to find out how each musician interprets my works, and vice versa," he said, quoted from ANTARA, Friday, January 21.

"Fortunately, I follow millennial music developments and are quite close to them," Fariz continued.

In addition to the visual presentation that spoils the eyes, the collaborative action of Fariz RM and the four musicians will also present a different sensation to the ears of the audience.

The reason is that the musical arrangements in this collaboration were specially worked on by musician Nikita Dompas. Nikita's cold hands are crucial enough to fuse the musicality of different characters from all performers into one attractive package.

"Nikita as music director and I agreed to take the best way, which is to trust each other, be open and interpret each other so that what happens is this is really a new experience for all of us, including myself of course," said Fariz RM.
