Rano Karno And Maudy Koesnaedi Release Doel And Zaenab's Shadows Through Colorless Rainbow Film

JAKARTA - The figures of Rano Karno and Maudy Koesnaedi are very thick with the roles of Doel and Zaenab in the soap opera and film Si Doel Anak Sekolahan. Now, they are back as a couple but in different roles in the film Pelangi Without Color.

Rainbow Without Color is a production of Falcon Pictures directed by Indra Gunawan. This film itself tells the story of Fedi (Rano Karno), whose beautiful marriage plan is ruined because his wife has Alzheimer's disease. From day to day, Kirana (Maudy Koesnaedi) keeps forgetting all the simple to the most important things in her life.

The situation turned so full of emotions that it seemed as if the calm in the house disappeared, then replaced with endless sadness. Fedi continues to be tested with Kirana's condition which is getting worse day by day. The household duties that were originally held by the wife, are now fully charged to her. Can Fedi survive or even choose to give up?

Indra Gunawan, as the director, admitted that he was very impressed to be able to unite Rano Karno and Maudy Koesnaedi. "This film comes from the Falcon Script Hunt event, which I chose. I am impressed, being able to unite Rano Karno and Maudy Koesnaedi. As we all know, apart from the Si Doel film, Rano Karno and Maudt Koesnaedi have never been in one film," he explained. in a virtual press conference, Thursday, January 20.

Playing Fedi's character, Rano Karno admits that there are no obstacles with Fedi's character. "After the film End of Si Doel's Love Story, Rainbow Without Color was my first cinema film. Coincidentally, it was paired with Maudy Koesnaedi. Thank God everything went smoothly without any difficulties playing the character Ferdi. Maudy was difficult, because she played a fool who was sick with Alzheimer's. Until she had to do research to the doctor. I mostly read on the internet, to find information," he said.

Maudy Koesnaedi, who plays the character Kirana in this film, said the same thing. "This is the first time I have acted with Rano Karno, not as Doel and Zaenab. It turned out to be fun. It didn't become an obstacle to form a new character," he said.

Meanwhile, Zayyan Sakha said he was happy to have the opportunity to act with Rano Karno and Maudy Koesnaedi in this film. The Rainbow Without Color film will be screened in all Indonesian cinemas, on February 17, 2022.

"I'm happy to be able to play with uncle Rano Karno and Mba Maudy, because mom and dad I'm a fan of them. At Pelangi I became the son of uncle Rano and Mba Maudy, and my challenge is how to be a child who has a mother who has Alzheimer's disease ," he said.
