Joss Whedon Denies Ever Threatened Gal Gadot And Ray Fisher

JAKARTA - Director Joss Whedon has raised his voice regarding a number of claims made by Ray Fisher and Gal Gadot. In an interview with New York Magazine, Whedon spoke of one year since the allegations surfaced.

It is known that Gal Gadot had said the director threatened to destroy her career. Joss Whedon also denied ever doing this.

"I don't threaten people. Who did it?" asked Joss Whedon, according to Variety.

According to Joss Whedon, there was a misunderstanding because English is not Gal Gadot's primary language. In addition, Whedon felt himself often excited when talking to someone.

Joss Whedon also explained why he cut the Cyborg scene played by Ray Fisher. He said, Fisher's performance was not good and could spoil the storyline.

"The story doesn't make sense and Fisher's performance isn't good either," said Joss Whedon. He was suspicious of Ray Fisher's accusations that Snyder's version of Justice League could be released.

Ray Fisher was the first actor to accuse Joss Whedon of being rude on set. At that time, Warner's investigation process ended in December 2020.

After Ray Fisher reported on Joss Whedon, several actors and actresses were questioned. Gal Gadot joined in as she explained that she was once asked to do a scene that despised and demeaned Wonder Woman's director, Patty Jenkins.
