After Shooting, Horror Film Actress Arrested For Murder

OREGON - An actress is accused of murder the day after completing the filming of a horror film, in which she plays a murderer.

Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed was accused of shooting dead her uncle, Shane Patrcik Moore, in 2016, and was released on bail when she was cast in the horror film From the Dark after auditioning under the pseudonym Wyn Reed.

The producers of the film claimed not to know this when they gave the role to Aisling, who began shooting in 2018 for five months.

In From the Dark, Aisling plays a woman who shoots someone in a manner similar to real life shooting.

"There is a key scene, where he shoots someone in the same way," according to a local media in Oregon, United States as quoted from NME, Tuesday, November 12.

A day after filming was over, Aisling was arrested by police who previously obtained cellphone footage that allegedly showed the shooting of her uncle.

Aisling was charged with first and second degree murder. Although he pleaded not guilty, the trial will be held later this year.

A spokesperson for the film company told The Washington Post their low filmmaking budgets prevented them from conducting background tracing of potential cast.

"Since this film has a very low budget, and it is our first attempt, we did not do a background check," said the spokesperson.

“If we ever film again in the future, any of us… we now know that a background check will save us. Learn, no matter how little money we have, it will reduce headaches. "
