Episode 10 Snowdrop Rating Drops, Uncle Soars To First Place

JAKARTA – The latest episode of JTBC's Korean drama, Snowdrop, starring Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK's Jisoo has dropped its rating.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 10 of Snowdrop that aired on January 15 received a nationwide rating of 2.6 percent.

That percentage is placed out of the top 10 among general programming cable TV shows for the day based on total households subscribing to paid platforms in South Korea.

This is a 0.464 percent drop from the 3.064 percent (eighth place) that Snowdrop got for episode 9 on January 9. However, it was slightly higher 0.016 than the 2.584 percent it got for episode 8 on January 8.

Based on the number of viewers, episode 10 was watched by 660,000 people or ranked fourth nationally compared to 759,000 people in seventh place who watched episode 9.

Oh Jung-se's drama Uncle took first place among cable TV shows on January 15 with 7.279 percent, while 10th place was MBN's news program “Daily Economy in the Morning” with 2.627 percent.

In the Seoul metropolitan area, episode 10 of Snowdrop received a rating of 2,489 percent to complete the top 10 shows overall among general programming cable TV shows.

This is 0.873 percentage points lower compared to the 3.362 percent rating for episode 9, which put Snowdrop in seventh place.

Based on the number of viewers, episode 10 was watched by 255,000 people (fifth place) in the Seoul metropolitan area. In comparison, episode 9 was watched by 361,000 people (seventh place).

Snowdrop is about political conspiracy and espionage against the backdrop of the 1987 Korean presidential election and romance.

In the drama, the governments of South Korea and North Korea conspire to gain political power.

Jung Hae-in plays Im Soo-ho, a 27-year-old graduate student who is a North Korean spy sent to South Korea on a mission.

Jisoo plays 20-year-old Eun Young-ro, a first-year student at Hosoo Women's University. In episode 10, the drama continues with a hostage situation in the university dormitory.
