Dharma-Kun Talks About Manners and Potential Pandemic in Third Jakarta Gubernatorial Election Debate

JAKARTA - Candidate Pair (Paslon) number 2, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana delivered their vision and mission in the third debate of the 2024 DKI Jakarta Regional Election (Pilkada). Where on that occasion the discussion was about manners.

"Jakarta is safe and independent because of its beautiful manners. The Dharma-Kun manners program gives the people of Jakarta 10 safe and five independent," said Dharma in the third debate, quoted from the DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU YouTube, Sunday, November 17.

The independent programs mentioned are food, shelter, clothing, water and energy. While safe includes safe manners, floods, abrasion, traffic jams, economy, crime, waste, carbon emissions and safe from pandemics.

Dharma also touched on the potential for a pandemic that might occur in the future. He asked the people of Jakarta to unite to face the potential.

"If we experience another pandemic, the signs are very clear, the budget is already there, WHO has amended the international health regulation, the use of bio weapons to create a pandemic," he said.

Therefore, he admitted that he did not want the pandemic to damage society. Especially in terms of the economy. Because, it will have an impact on the storm of layoffs (PHK).

"Don't let the economy be destroyed, layoffs, not working, eating, because of the pandemic. That's why I defend my own nation," he said.

Not only health issues, he said the world is also being shadowed by a recession. In fact, this super severe recession will occur next year until 2030.

"It is estimated that we still have the potential to face a super severe recession in 2025 to 2030. That's why a fair economic system must be implemented immediately so that people's economy remains safe even though the world is in recession," he explained.
