Sahroni: Prioritize Rationality To Select Candidates For Regional Heads

KEDIRI - Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI Ahmad Sahroni revealed that residents must be able to prioritize rationality in choosing regional head candidates so that later candidates can be elected who are trustworthy.

"I hope the people of Kediri can choose a candidate for leader based on rationality, values, and ideas. Don't want anyone to try to intervene in the choice of ladies and gentlemen with things outside of that," Sahroni said in a talk show entitled "Exploring Inspiration: Philosophy, Inspiration, and Strategy for Life to Achieve Success" in Kediri, East Java, Sunday.

He came to Kediri to share his experiences. According to him, the younger generation must always work hard, not easily desperate in achieving their goals. This is also from his personal experience when he was young until now he sits on the bench of the DPR RI.

"Young people not only have to dare to dream, but must also dare to make it happen. Like I used to, I still hate it but I already dare to dream of becoming rich, I want to share a lot with people," he said.

He also hopes that the 2024 Pilkada activities in Kediri City can run fairly, without any intervention from any party.

"I also hope that the Kediri City Pilkada can run without any intervention from any party," he said.

Meanwhile, in preparation for the 2024 Pilkada in Kediri City, the local KPU also completed the selection and packaging for regional election logistics. In addition, the KPU also carried out simulations of voting and vote counting involving ad hoc bodies, including the sub-district election committee (ppk) and the voting committee (pps) to the polling group (kpps) in this city.

KPU Kediri member of the Technical Division of the Organizer Adib Zaimatu Sofi revealed that it involved pilkada organizers, namely from ppk, pps and kpps. With that, they can know with certainty about the flow of voting rights on November 27, 2024.

"Let them know, there are many new kpps, so they know how it is on the field, what the flow is like," he said.
