Makmum 2 Film Ready To Release December 30, 2021, Titi Kamal Enthusiastic

JAKARTA - Titi Kamal is back in the horror film Makmum 2. This is her second horror film. This time Titi competed acting with new players such as Marcella Zalianty and Samuel Rizal.

Almost two years of delay, Titi said she was enthusiastic. After two years of waiting, Titi said she was happy that Makmum 2 was showing in theaters. "Finally, the film Makmum 2 is showing in theaters. Honestly, I was really looking forward to this film because it was filmed at the beginning of the pandemic. And it's only been released now so I'm very enthusiastic," said Titi Kamal during a press conference at Epicentrum XXI, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 23 .

Moreover, the first Makmum film was not only successful in Indonesia but also in Malaysia. That success weighed him down.

"The matter of being burdened or not, definitely yes. Because the first one in Malaysia and other countries can be appreciated, promotions can also be free and intense. For now there is a pandemic, so what do you think about this," said Titi Kamal.

But on the other hand, Titi Kamal was not discouraged. He still believes that Makmum 2 can follow the success of the first Makmum even though it is broadcast in the midst of a pandemic.

Makmum 2 is directed by Guntur Soeharjanto. Titi Kamal explained why she rejoined the film.

“Honestly, I thought deeply when offered a horror film. After seeing the results so excited. This film was made with the totality of all the cast and crew,” said Titi.

Screenings in theaters, he continued, provide a maximum experience for the audience. "The film Makmum 2 does not only offer visual terror. Because the audio is also built to create fear. Because of that, only screenings in theaters can make the experience of watching Makmum 2 maximized," he said.

Titi Kamal who plays Rini returns to a long abandoned village. The story in Makmum 2 is still connected to the previous film. "The common thread is how we remain solemn in prayer when disturbances come," he explained.
