Film You Are Not Alone Premiering At JAFF 2021, Here's The Synopsis

JAKARTA - The 2021 Jogjakarta Netpac Asian Film Festival (JAFF) which will take place on 27 November - 4 December 2021, presents quality films from Asia, including Indonesia. The film You Are Not Alone, became one of the selected films to be screened on December 3, 2021 at Empire XXI Jogjakarta.

The film is not yet officially released in Indonesian cinemas. However, it has received attention from the JAFF 2021 event. Finally, the production house introduced the players at the sneak peek at the Jakarta Film Week event some time ago.

The JAFF event is a film festival that has been regularly held every year, since 2006. The screening of the film You Are Not Alone at the JAFF 2021 event was enthusiastically welcomed by the production house.

"When we entered the 16th JAFF official selection, we were very enthusiastic and felt an honor in itself, because JAFF is a prestigious event for Indonesian and even international filmmakers. We use this special opportunity for the World Premiere Film 'You Are Not Alone', and I hope the KTS film which has a strong moral message, can be an inspiration for JAFF viewers and the public in general," said Titan Hemawan, Director of MNC Pictures when contacted on Sunday, December 5.

This suspense drama genre film is directed by Arwin Wardhana and assisted by Yadi Sugandi, Director of Photography who has won the 2011 FFI award. Meanwhile, Titien Watimena is appointed as a screenwriter.

The central character is played by a characterful artist, Adinia Wirasti as Miranda Arundati, a career woman, independent, independent and feels she can do everything without needing anyone else. Mira is also very disciplined and ambitious in her career, this is shown by her tough character and seems strong in dealing with problems. But when trapped in a very precarious situation, everything changes.

In general, the storyline of the film You Are Not Alone is very different from Indonesian films in general. In this film, Mira's inner turmoil occurs when she is trapped in an elevator, with Mika (Ganindra Bimo). Then the presence of the figure of Adrian (Rio Dewanto) at that crucial moment, was unexpectedly able to change the 'old' Mira, and what happened at that time was an event that taught him a lot.
