JAKARTA - A woman in Pekalongan went viral on social media after sharing her experience of consuming enoki mushrooms and causing poisoning. He said that at that time after eating Enoki mushrooms, she felt nauseous and vomited which had not improved.
"After eating enoki, stomach acid rises and vomiting white every few minutes, more than 10 times," said the woman named Ameliya, on her TikTok account, quoted on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
He was then rushed to the ER in a purplish condition and the whole body felt cold. At that time, Ameliya admitted that his body felt very weak.

After the examination, the doctor said that he had a bacterial infection from the enoki mushrooms that were eaten. Meanwhile, the stomach acid he experienced was due to the spicy taste of the seblak consumed along with the enoki mushrooms.
The doctor then advised him to temporarily stop consuming enoki mushrooms. This is due to the high risk of bacterial infection from foods that are not processed properly.
"Those who love enoki like me better stop, let alone like to be mixed with morals, don't be like me," continued Ameliya.
