Shahnaz Haque's Story Of Being Diagnosed With Ovarium Cancer, Reminds The Importance Of Health Insurance

JAKARTA - Actress and presenter, Shahnaz Haque shared his personal experience when diagnosed with ovarian cancer when he was 26 years old. He said that at that time he experienced early symptoms of not menstruating for three months.

"Alhamdulillah, the type and place of cancer made me not menstruate. At that time I did not have a period of three months," said Shahnaz Haque when met in the Setiabudi area, Jakarta, on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

At first, Shahnaz did not realize that the condition was serious. Until one opportunity when hosting a television program with the theme of female health, there is an obstetrician who is the resource person.

At that time, Shahnaz consulted and said that he had not had menstruated for a long time. The doctor immediately asked Shahnaz to check himself, especially since he also has a history of cancer from his mother.

"At that time, Alhamdulillah, I filled in a TV program where the guest was an obgyn doctor. So when I asked why this was not natural for 3 months, then the doctor asked whose family had a history of cancer. I said my mother, so I immediately checked," he explained.

With this experience, Shahnaz Haque reminded women to be more sensitive to their body changes. He emphasized the importance of not ignoring symptoms such as irregular menstruation or quitting for a long time.
