The Tangerang City Government through the Health Office held a Free Health Check (CKG) program that could be used not only by students, but also teachers.
This program is implemented at health centers with the aim of creating a healthy learning environment while increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining health.
The Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dini Anggraeni, explained that his party had coordinated with the Education Office so that teachers would participate in this program. According to him, maintaining the health of educators is as important as maintaining the health of students.
"Not only students, teachers also need to check their health conditions regularly. This CKG can be used at the puskesmas for free," he said in Tangerang, as quoted by ANTARA.
The CKG program for students itself officially started on Monday, August 11 at SMP Negeri 28 Tangerang City. This activity is targeted to reach all schools every new school year.

The Health Office noted that the target of this program was 337,649 students from 986 schools, ranging from elementary to high school, both public and private. The examination includes high and weight measurements, eye examinations, ears, teeth, and early detection of infectious and non-communicable diseases.
"The goal is to identify health problems from an early age that can interfere with the development and achievement of children's learning," added Dini.
Parents need to give approval for the examination, as well as attach a medical history if the child has certain conditions. For students with special needs, parental assistance or additional information to teachers and health workers is highly recommended.
The Mayor of Tangerang, Sahrudin, said that this program is part of the Eight Best Results Rapid Programs (PHTC) in line with the Asta Cita mission, especially in strengthening the quality of human resources.
"Health checks since school age are a form of future investment. We prevent disease, detect problems from an early age, and improve nutritional status," he said.
