Struggling Against Breast Cancer, Jessie J's Latest Condition After Performing A Mastektomy

JAKARTA - British singer Jessie J revealed that she had to undergo surgery again this year, although still recovering from breast cancer surgery. In the midst of these conditions, the singer of the song "Price Tag" continues to play her role as a mother and singer.

Through an upload on Instagram on August 8, the 37-year-old wrote a list of challenges faced this year.

"This year I have to have surgery again. I can do it. Raise children, I can do it. Release new music. I can do it," wrote Jessie J, quoted from the People page.

In the video, this mother of one trembles and takes a long breath before expressing her feelings. Currently, he admits that he just needs rest. However, Jessie continued to release a new song and take care of her child.

Jessie admitted that she had about seven weeks after early stage breast cancer surgery. By June 2025, Jessie had undergone a mastektomy, which was a surgical procedure to remove some or all breast tissue.

"I'm still in a recovery period and my body is still adapting. But I love music, I love my life, and I want to live in this moment," said Jessie.

A week ago, Jessie was hospitalized for alleged blood clots after experiencing chest pain. Even so, the singer of "Bang Bang" is still trying to be positive.

"That's life, everything can change, and we can panic or be angry because it doesn't go according to plan, or we adapt," he said.

Jessie said she was currently trying to follow her life path. Closing his message, he wrote, "Life has a layer, there are ups and downs, and we have to continue to live it as best we can. So here I am, alive."
